As one of the Practice Director of JSY Legal, Hanming brings a strategic and compassionate approach to the firm’s litigation, criminal, and family law practice. 

Admitted to practice in 2016 after graduating from the University of Western Australia in 2014, Hanming has built a broad-based career appearing across multiple jurisdictions. 

He is an experienced trial advocate, having conducted matters in the Magistrates, District, and Supreme Courts, as well as the Family Court, where he specialises in complex financial and property matters.

Hanming understands that for most people, stepping into a courtroom is a daunting experience.  He is committed to guiding his clients through the legal process with clarity and efficiency, ensuring they achieve the best possible outcome without unnecessary delay or cost.  His philosophy is rooted in active listening and constructive engagement with opponents to find practical solutions.

Holding a HSK Level 4 certification in Mandarin after further study at TongJi University in Shanghai, Hanming is also conversant in Mandarin, allowing him to assist a diverse range of clients.

Beyond his private practice, Hanming is dedicated to improving access to justice.  He accepts Legal Aid briefs in his areas of expertise, recognising the prohibitive cost of litigation as a significant barrier for many in the community.
